A brand new mini album by ambient jazz fusion trio Apneumo.

This album features [.que] (Nao Kakimoto), a rising star of folktronica who produces many beautiful sounds, and I Am Robot And Proud (a solo project by Chinese-Canadian Shohan Liem, who is active in Toronto). A collaboration with two people who created an era of the electronica scene and continue to do wonderful music on the front line came true.

“unknown years”, recorded in the previous work “Hakumei” (PWT82) is centered on the beautiful piano sound by [.que], and the nostalgic scent of Japan deeply shakes your heart. In addition, "lay it on", recorded in the <TRINITY> compilation, which was made from a 3-man project with Gecko&Tokage Parade/colspan, has been largely remade from the original song by I Am Robot And Proud, and the gentle and warm sound fills your heart.

The theme of this project is the story of two people who are connected in a huge space. The organic ensemble of the poetic and passionate guitar rhythm corps, and the inorganic synthesizer/sequence sounds that produce an atmospheric sparkle, blend together to create a beautiful sound that cleanses the ears.

今作はフォークトロニカの新星として数多くの美しいサウンドをうみだす [.que] (カキモトナオ)や、I Am Robot And Proud(トロントで活動する中国系カナダ人ショウハン・リームによるソロプロジェクト)、エレクトロニカシーンの一時代を築き第一線で素晴らしい音楽を生み出し続ける2人とのコラボレーションが実現した。

前作「薄明」(PWT82)に収録された”unknown years”は[.que]によるノスタルジックな美しいピアノの音が軸となり、日本の郷愁的な芳香が心を深く揺さぶる(③)。また、Gecko&Tokage Parade/colspanとの3マン企画から生まれた<TRINITY>コンピレーションに収録された”lay it on”は、I Am Robot And Proudにより原曲から大幅にリメイクされ、優しく温い音が心を満たす。(⑤⑥)

惑星間ほどの果てしない距離(atmosphere between)―莫大な空間で繋がる2人のストーリーをテーマにした今作は、これまで以上に彼らのバックボーンにあるアンビエント・エレクトロニカに強く焦点が当たった作品に仕上がっており、詩的でパッショナブルなギター・リズム隊の有機的なアンサンブル、アトモスフェリックな煌めきを演出する無機的なシンセサイザー/シーケンスの二律背反した音が溶け合い、耳を洗うような美しい音を紡いでいる。
